Interpretation of the Bible / John 7:16
Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.”
John 7:16 is a Bible verse that tells us about the authority and origin of Jesus’ teaching. In this passage, Jesus is addressing the Pharisees and explaining that the teaching He is teaching does not come from Him, but from the One who sent Him.
This verse is important because it shows us that Jesus’ teaching has a divine source and is not simply the fruit of His own wisdom when the Pharisees saw a man before their eyes. By attributing His teaching to God, Jesus shows us that His message is true and has divine authority.
