Interpretation of the Bible / Mark 13:11
Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
Jesus tells his disciples about a future where they will be persecuted for their faith. They will be handed over for punishment and will have difficult times, perhaps even being put in a position where they could be killed. In the midst of these terrible events, Jesus tells the disciples not to worry about what they will say about it.
Instead, it says that the Holy Spirit will come to them and give them the right words at that moment. In other words, your job is not to worry about what will happen, but to trust the Holy Spirit and speak up when needed.
