What does “new creation” mean?
“New creation” refers to the complete transformation that occurs in the life of a believer when they join Christ. It is a profound and irreversible effect in which the old self is erased and a new self is born in Christ.
In this new state, love, peace, patience, kindness, faith, humility, and self-control are evident and present in a life filled with the love of God. Everything we were before meeting Christ is erased—the bad, the ugly, the shortcomings, and the destructive things we may have encountered.
