Interpretation of the Bible / 1 Corinthians 15:34
In 1 Corinthians 15:34, the Apostle Paul tells us that we must be properly watchful and not sin, because there are people who do not know God, and it would be a shame for us not to live according to the way Christ taught us.
The expression “Come back to your senses” here means to be alert and aware of what is happening in our surroundings. In spiritual terms, it means to be alert to the dangers of sin and to remain firm in our faith. This properly indicates that our attention must be continuous and constant, not neglecting our relationship with God.
We must be properly watchful lest we fall into temptation, and also not set a bad example to those who do not know God. We are obligated to live a worthy and exemplary life as Christian representatives of our faith.
