Interpretation of the Bible / John 20:21
John 20:21 is one of the most significant verses in the Bible, as Jesus communicates to His disciples a key message for believers: peace. In this sense, reference is made to the mission that the Father entrusted to Jesus, which He in turn passed on to His followers.
The importance of peace in the Bible
Peace is one of the fundamental teachings of the Bible and, therefore, of Christianity. Thus, peace is one of the main blessings that God bestows upon His followers, and one of the main goals that believers must achieve. In this sense, it is associated with the idea of harmony, tranquility, emotional and spiritual well-being.
The message and mission of the disciples
In John 20:21, Jesus communicates to His disciples the importance of His teaching and His example, which implies a very important mission in the lives of believers. As representatives of Jesus, believers have the task of conveying the message of God and spreading His Word, which is a very important task in the Christian religion.
It is therefore implied that the mission of the disciples should be centered on the principles taught to them by Jesus, which includes an attitude of service to others, total devotion, and a constant commitment to the values that come from the Bible itself.
