Ephesians 6:10 comes at the end of Paul’s letter to the church at Ephesus. In this final chapter, Paul talks about the armor of God. He uses the analogy of a Roman soldier to emphasize that just as a soldier uses armor to protect his body in battle, Christians must wear the armor of God to protect themselves and fight the spiritual forces of evil.

Be strong in the Lord

The verse itself is a direct instruction to the Ephesian brothers and all Christians. Paul tells them that they must draw their strength from God and His mighty power.

This instruction from Paul is very relevant today. In our daily struggles with temptations and problems, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and weakened. But as Christians, we must remember that the source of our strength and power is God.

Resolving doubts

How can we be strong in the Lord? This question may arise after reading Ephesians 6:10. We can begin by developing a closer, more personal relationship with the Lord. This can be done through prayer, Bible reading, and meditation. Another way is to connect with other Christians who can offer support, encouragement, and wisdom.

What does “mighty strength” mean in this verse? In the original Greek, the word “kratos” is translated as “mighty strength.” This word denotes a decisive and dominant strength that can overcome any obstacle. In other words, the strength we are to find in God is not weak or fragile, but strong and powerful.
