Interpretation of the Bible / Ephesians 4:2

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

The Book of Ephesians is a letter written by the Apostle Paul to the Christians in the city of Ephesus. In this document, Paul gives numerous pieces of advice to the believers to help them live by the Word of God. One of the most significant passages in this letter is found in chapter 4, verse 2: “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love”.

In this verse, Paul calls the members of the Ephesian church to walk with humility and gentleness, that is, to renounce arrogance and violence. He asks them to be patient and kind with others, always showing love and compassion.

It is important to note that this teaching transcends the time in which it was written and is equally relevant and applicable to our daily lives.
