Interpretation of the Bible / Galatians 6:14
The Bible verse in Galatians 6:14 tells us to boast not in our personal abilities or accomplishments, but in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. It tells us that the cross is the center of everything we believe as Christians and that through it the world has been crucified to us and we to the world.
What does it mean to be crucified to the world?
Being crucified to the world means that we have given up our worldly beliefs and habits and have surrendered our lives completely to God. As Christians, we are to be committed to God and His will for our lives, not to worldly pleasures and desires.
The cross symbolizes Jesus’ sacrifice to save us from sin and eternal death. On the cross, Jesus bore our sins and paid the penalty we deserved. In His love and mercy, He submitted Himself to the painful and humiliating crucifixion to offer us forgiveness and reconciliation with God.
