Interpretation of the Bible / Psalm 34:10
The psalmist is looking at the situation of the lion cubs (skimnants) who depend on their parents, and when they are not hunting, they go hungry. The older lions may not be able to get food for their cubs; God is never unable to meet the needs (spiritual, emotional, and physical) of His children.
Trusting in God is essential to receiving His provision. If we do not trust that God will take care of us, we will likely try to meet our needs on our own. However, when we trust Him, we can be confident that He will provide for us.
It is also important to remember that God’s provision does not always come in the way we expect. For example, sometimes it may be an invitation from someone who treats us to dinner, or from a friend who offers us a job. But no matter what form it comes in, it always comes from the hand of God.
The biggest problem for most of us is that we try to look for what God can give us instead of looking for God Himself.
