Interpretation of the Bible / Ephesians 1:7
Atonement means deliverance or salvation from a problem or situation from which a person cannot free himself. In a spiritual context, atonement means deliverance from sin and eternal death. The Bible teaches us that we are all sinners and are doomed to eternal death as punishment for our sins.
But Ephesians 1:7 tells us that in Christ we have redemption through His blood. This means that the blood of Jesus, shed on the cross, redeems us and sets us free from the bondage of sin and death.
Forgiveness of sins
In addition to atonement, Ephesians 1:7 also talks about forgiveness of sins. Forgiveness is one of the most important things we can receive in our lives. We have all sinned and need God's forgiveness.
But through the grace of God, we can receive forgiveness of our sins through the blood of Christ. This means that if we believe in Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross, we can be forgiven and cleansed from all our sins.
The riches of His grace
The verse also mentions the riches of God's grace. This grace is a free gift that we receive from God, and we cannot earn it by our own works. The grace of God allows us to receive redemption and forgiveness of sins through the blood of Christ. It is important to remember that everything we have in life is because of the grace of God.
