You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.

In this verse (Psalm 18:28), the psalmist David addresses God as the One who gives him light and illuminates him in times of darkness. David uses the image of a burning lamp to represent the knowledge and wisdom God has given him.
