Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
Luke 10:9 is a call to Jesus' disciples to heal the sick and proclaim the coming of the Kingdom of God.
Healing and hope
In this Bible passage, Jesus gives His disciples a task that goes beyond simply healing the sick. He asks them to bring hope and relief to those suffering from illness and disease. Healing the body is important, but so is healing the spirit and mind, and that is what the coming of the Kingdom of God brings. Healing can be not only physical, but also emotional and spiritual.
