Interpretation of the Bible / Romans 14:11
It is written: ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will acknowledge God.’
In Romans 14:11, Paul quotes the Old Testament prophecy of Isaiah 45:23, where the prophet declares that at the Last Judgment every knee will bow before God and every tongue will confess that He is Lord.
This verse is an expression of God's sovereignty as the Creator and Judge of the world. It is a reminder that at some point in human history, every person will honor God and acknowledge His power and majesty.
