Interpretation of the Bible / John 15:26
The role of the Holy Spirit in our faith is of paramount importance, and the Bible verse that clearly describes it is John 15:26. In this verse, Jesus promises his disciples that He will send the Comforter, the Spirit of truth, who will testify of Him. That is, the Holy Spirit is the One who gives us truth and helps us understand the work and purpose of Jesus in our lives.
Who is the Holy Spirit?
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, along with the Father and the Son. He is God himself, and was sent to earth after Jesus ascended to heaven to instruct and comfort believers. The Holy Spirit dwells within us as believers and helps us understand the truth of God’s Word and apply it to our lives.
The role of the Holy Spirit in our lives
The Holy Spirit is always present in our lives as believers, guiding and comforting us at all times. He is the one who speaks to us and guides us in our journey of faith. Through the Holy Spirit, we can better understand the Word of God. He helps us to pray and gives us strength and courage to face any situation that may arise.
