Interpretation of the Bible / Psalm 19:14

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Psalm 19:14 is a psalm of praise and prayer, in which the psalmist asks God for his words and thoughts to be pleasing to Him. The psalmist acknowledges God as his rock and Redeemer and asks Him to help him keep his lips and heart pure and pleasing to God.

Interpretation

This verse is a reminder to all Christians of the importance of thinking and speaking in accordance with God's teachings. Our words and thoughts are an expression of what is in our hearts, and as Christians, we must strive to fill our hearts with pure and noble thoughts. We should avoid vulgar or profane speech and speak with love and respect to others.

We must not only think about others. We must also reflect on our own mistakes and sins. We must not judge anyone, but rather focus on our own shortcomings and strive to improve every day of our Christian lives. We must realize that every word and thought has an impact on ourselves and others.
