Interpretation of the Bible / Romans 12:18
Romans 12:18 reminds us of the importance of living in peace with everyone around us. In today’s society, we easily find ourselves in situations of conflict and disagreement with others, especially in situations involving political, religious, or social differences.
However, the Bible teaches us that we should do everything possible to maintain peace and avoid unnecessary conflicts.
How can we apply this verse in our daily lives?
The practical application of this verse may seem difficult at first, but there are several ways to achieve it. First, we must learn to control our emotions and avoid expressing negative feelings that others may have toward us. Instead of reacting with anger or resentment, we should try to listen to and understand each other’s views and find common ground and equality.
On the other hand, we must also learn to set healthy boundaries in our relationships, especially if we find ourselves in a situation of violence or abuse. In this case, we should not sacrifice our safety or well-being to maintain peace in a toxic relationship.
