Interpretation of the Bible / Matthew 7:7
Prayer is a powerful and effective tool that allows us to connect with God and ask Him for help or guidance in our lives. Matthew 7:7 reminds us to ask and seek in prayer so that we can receive what we need and find what we are looking for. It also invites us to knock and God will open the door for us.
Ask and it will be given to you
This first call to prayer calls us to ask God for what we need. As humans, we have needs and desires that sometimes we cannot meet on our own. Prayer is a way to ask for help and trust in the power and goodness of God to give us what we need. However, we must be careful not to ask for things that are selfish or harmful to ourselves or others.
Seek and you will find
Prayer seeking is a call to seek God's will in our lives. Often we have questions or confusion about circumstances or decisions we need to make. Prayer is a way of seeking wisdom and divine direction in our lives. By searching in prayer, we can find the answer we need.
Knock and the door will be opened to you
When we knock on God’s door in prayer, He always answers us and opens the door for us. But sometimes we need to be patient and wait for the answer. It is also important that we be willing to receive the answer God gives us, even if it is not what we expected or wanted. We must be open to God’s will and trust that His answer is for our highest good.
