Interpretation of the Bible / John 14:23
Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”
In John 14:23, Jesus makes a clear and direct statement. Simply put, Jesus shows that the key to receiving God’s love and presence in our lives is to love Him and keep His teachings.
“Obey my teaching” means not only reading and knowing Jesus’ teachings, but actively applying them in our daily lives. Knowing God’s word is easy, but applying it in our daily lives takes dedication and effort. This includes a consistent practice of humility, love, forgiveness, and gratitude.
