Interpretation of the Bible / 1 John 3:21-22

Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.

1 John 3:21-22 tells us about the importance of trusting God. It is a call to have a heart free of guilt, free of regret. Trusting God gives us peace and calm in knowing that we are doing the right thing and are on the right path. When our heart is at peace, our mind is at peace, and we can have a better relationship with God.

What is trusting God?

Trusting God is believing that He is present in our lives and guiding us. It is a strong and deep faith that allows us to believe that God has a plan for us and that everything that happens to us is part of that plan. Trusting God allows us to believe that even when everything seems to be against us, He will be there to guide us.

Why is trusting God important?

Trusting God is important because it gives us the strength and motivation to keep going. Life is not easy, and there are times when we feel lost and directionless. Faith in God reassures us that we are not alone and helps us find direction.

Furthermore, trusting God helps us maintain a positive outlook on life in general. When we trust God, our perspective changes and we can view challenges as opportunities to grow and learn rather than as obstacles to overcome.

Keeping God’s Commandments

1 John 3:21-22 tells us about the importance of keeping God’s commandments and doing what pleases Him so that we can receive everything we ask of Him. In other words, when we follow God’s teachings and do what is right, we can be confident that He will hear us when we ask for help or for something we need.

We should not view this as a “blank check” to ask for whatever we want, but as a guarantee that God will give us what we need if we remain faithful to Him and follow His way.
