Interpretation of the Bible / Acts 20:20

Acts 20:20 is a statement by the apostle Paul about his ministry. This verse shows us that for Paul, his job as a minister of the gospel was not just to preach in churches, but to teach people in their homes. The first part of the verse says, “You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful.” This demonstrates Paul’s commitment to the gospel. He was not ashamed of the teachings he preached, but he saw them as extremely beneficial to the people. Paul clearly understood the importance of God’s truth in the lives of believers, and he was willing to share that truth without restraint or fear.

The second part of the verse says, “have taught you publicly and from house to house.” This shows us how Paul spread the gospel message. He did not focus solely on preaching, but he also visited people’s homes to teach them about God. This tactic proved to be very effective in getting the message to a wider audience.
