SVG In Christ

Interpretation of the Bible / Romans 15:7

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.

Romans 15:7 calls us to welcome one another as Christ welcomed us, to the glory of God. In other words, the apostle Paul is calling us to unity and harmony in the Christian community and showing us the example of how Christ welcomed us in His love so that we can do the same with others.

Explaining the idea

It is easy to feel comfortable with those who share our beliefs, interests, and opinions, but what happens when we encounter people with whom we disagree or who do not share our worldview? The truth is that in our Christian lives we must be willing to welcome everyone without exception, regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic level, or any other aspect.

We have an example in Christ because He made no exceptions or discriminated; He lovingly and gracefully welcomed all people who came to Him, regardless of their social, religious, or cultural background. Therefore, as Christians, we must follow His example and welcome everyone into our lives, showing them love and respect, just as God Himself does with us.
