Interpretation of the Bible / Proverbs 11:3
The integrity of the upright guides them,
but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.
Integrity is a recurring theme in the Bible. Throughout the Old Testament, many characters, such as Abraham, Jacob, Job, and Daniel, were known for their integrity during times of trial. Integrity is defined as being honest, having strong moral and ethical principles, and being consistent in word and deed.
Proverbs 11:3 reminds us that integrity is the guide of the upright. That is, integrity helps people stay on the right path and make wise decisions. On the other hand, those who act wickedly and depart from integrity are destroyed by their own actions.
