Interpretation of the Bible / Ecclesiastes 12:1
Remember your Creator
in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come
and the years approach when you will say,
“I find no pleasure in them”.
In Ecclesiastes 12:1, the author of Ecclesiastes calls for reflection on life and the importance of youth. It is during these years that we make the most important decisions and can lay a solid foundation for the future. This is why the author urges us to remember the Creator while we are young, before difficult days arrive.
The value of time and wisdom
The author of Ecclesiastes also reminds us of the importance of time and wisdom. Youth is a time when we have many opportunities and can accomplish much, but it is also a time when we can waste time and make poor decisions. This is why the author urges us to be wise and remember the Creator in our youth so that we can build a good future.
