Interpretation of the Bible / Luke 11:13
In Luke 11:13, Jesus makes a clear and powerful statement: “If even evil earthly parents know how to give good to their children, how much more will our Father in heaven give good to us who ask Him?”
This verse speaks of the trust we must have in God when we ask for anything. If human imperfect parents give good to their children, how much more will God, the perfect Father, give us good.
What does this mean for us?
When we ask God for anything, we must remember that He is a perfect Father who always gives good. That is what is promised in this verse. We can trust Him completely, knowing that He will give us what we need, not what we want. This teaches us that even though sometimes it may seem like God is not listening to us or not giving us what we need, He always has a plan for our lives and He knows what is best for us better than we do.
