After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.

Why is Jesus' ascension important?
The ascension of Jesus Christ is important for several reasons. First, it is a sign of His power and divinity, since no one but God can ascend to heaven. Second, Jesus' ascension signals the end of His earthly ministry and His return to His Father in Heaven. Third, Jesus' ascension paves the way for His followers to one day ascend to heaven as well.
