Interpretation of the Bible / Proverbs 10:2
Ill-gotten treasures have no lasting value,
but righteousness delivers from death.
The Book of Proverbs is considered one of the wisest books in the Bible, and is full of instructions on how to live righteously and wisely. In chapter 10, verse 2, we are taught an important lesson about the value of justice and the dangers of amassing wealth through dishonest means.
A warning about treasures of evil
Here we are reminded that no matter how much money, power, or wealth we accumulate in our lives, if we have acquired it through unlawful or evil means, it will do us no good. We may think that these treasures will bring us security and happiness, but in the end, they will only bring destruction and pain.
