He reminds the Corinthians that the freedom to do whatever they want should not be used as an excuse to indulge their own desires. Verse 24 sums up the entire letter by telling us that in everything we do, we should seek the good of others. Paul calls Christians to change their selfish tendencies and put the interests and needs of others above their own.
