Interpretation of the Bible / 1 Corinthians 16:13
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
The first call in this verse is to be watchful and steadfast in the faith. This means that we are to be alert and watchful, paying attention to what is going on around us. If we are Christians, our job is to be constantly vigilant and not allow anything to move us away from our faith in God.
The second call is to act as bold and strong men and women in our faith. Being a Christian does not mean being weak, quite the opposite. Being a Christian requires courage, strength, and determination to continue on our journey. We must act with firmness and confidence, always remaining true to Christian values and teachings.
