Interpretation of the Bible / Hebrews 4:9-10

There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his.

Hebrews 4:9-10 are verses that tell us about the rest that awaits people who believe in God and choose to follow His way in life. To understand their meaning, it is important to analyze the previous verses, which talk about the rest that God made after completing His work of creation.

Similarly, these verses indicate that believers can also enjoy rest, not physical, but spiritual, which is achieved through keeping His commandments.

Spiritual rest

These verses talk about a type of rest that is not related to physical rest, but spiritual rest. That is, it is an inner rest that is achieved by following God's ways and that goes beyond the material.

In this sense, the Bible tells us about eternal rest, which is achieved by keeping its commandments and allows us to enjoy the peace and tranquility that we need in our lives.
