Interpretation of the Bible / Romans 5:19
In Romans 5:19, the apostle Paul tells us that because of Adam’s disobedience, many became sinners. However, because of Jesus’ obedience, many can become righteous.
This verse is a reminder of the importance of our choices and actions. Like Adam, our decisions can have serious consequences not only for ourselves but also for those around us. But unlike Adam, because of Christ, we have a second chance to do what is right.
We often wonder if we can be just despite our previous actions and decisions. The answer is yes. While it is true that our actions can have long-term consequences, the act of following Christ and accepting His sacrifice can lead us to justice.
On the other hand, some may wonder why we need Jesus to be righteous. The answer is that God’s justice is perfect, but our own actions are not. Therefore, we need the divine righteousness of Christ to achieve the perfection necessary to stand in the presence of God.
