Psalm 31 focuses on complete trust in God during times of adversity. In this verse, the psalmist declares his confidence in the Lord and prays for help, relying on His righteousness.

The word "trust" means faith or confidence in someone or something, and in this case, the psalmist places his trust in God. Such faith is fundamental to our relationship with God, as it helps us overcome the difficulties and trials life presents.

I will never be ashamed

The psalmist expresses his desire to never be ashamed. Confusion is a very common feeling during adversity, as we often don't understand why things happen to us or why God allows certain events to occur.

However, the psalmist knows that his trust in God will become an anchor that will prevent him from wavering in difficult situations. Knowing that God has a purpose and a reason for everything that happens to us helps us maintain hope and trust in Him.

Deliver me according to Your justice

The psalmist asks God for deliverance through His justice. God's justice is a recurring theme in the psalms. This justice protects the innocent, punishes the guilty, and restores peace.

In difficult times, the psalmist seeks God's justice to deliver him from his troubles. God's justice is not arbitrary, but is consonant with truth and justice. Therefore, the psalmist relies on God's justice as a weapon to overcome difficult situations.
