He will not let your foot slip

He assures us that God will not allow our feet to slip, meaning He will keep us from stumbling and falling along the way. The idea is that when we trust in God, He will support us and help us remain steadfast.

He who watches over you will not slumber

The second part of this verse emphasizes another characteristic of God: His constant vigilance. The psalmist assures us that God never slumbers, watching over us—that is, He is always attentive to our needs and cares for us.
