Interpretation of the Bible / Matthew 7:1

Do not judge, or you too will be judged.

This Bible verse is a clear call to be tolerant and understanding toward others. The call to “not judge” refers to how we should treat others, emphasizing the idea that we should not judge people without knowing their circumstances or life story.

In other words, the message is clear: if we do not want to be judged, we too must remain open and understanding toward others, always avoiding hasty judgments that could hurt or upset others.

Application to everyday life

Applying this verse to everyday life is relatively easy because it is an attitude that can be adopted at any time and regardless of circumstances.

First of all, we must remember that each person has their own life story, and we have no right to judge them without knowing it. Therefore, before making any comments, it is important to listen to others and understand their point of view. It is helpful to put yourself in the other person’s shoes and think: have I done something similar that I would now judge?

Likewise, it is important to remember that our actions and comments can have serious consequences on the lives of others, so it is important to think twice before judging others.
