I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love.

Ephesians 3:16-17 encourages us to be strengthened in the inner man by the power of the Holy Spirit and the importance of allowing Christ to dwell in our hearts through faith. This is one of many statements in the Bible that tell us about an inner source of strength that we can access through faith in God.

What does it mean to strengthen the inner man?

Strengthening the inner man generally means improving our emotional, spiritual, and mental abilities. It is about living in harmony with ourselves and the world around us. Ultimately, it means greater control over our emotions, greater mental clarity, and a greater connection with God's plan for each of us.

How does the Holy Spirit strengthen us?

Christians view the Holy Spirit as a source of strength and power. He is the divine being who accompanies us at all times, guiding us on the right path and giving us the courage and strength we need in the most difficult moments.

Through the Holy Spirit, we can find inner peace, unconditional love, and the wisdom we need to overcome any challenges that may come our way.

Christ in our hearts
