Interpretation of the Bible / Ecclesiastes 5:4
Ecclesiastes 5:4 speaks of the importance of keeping promises to God. If we make a promise to Him, we must fulfill it without delay. God does not favor those who fail to fulfill their promises and commitments.
Keeping promises
Keeping promises and commitments is an undervalued skill in our society. We often see people making promises without intending to keep them, or changing them to suit their needs. However, God expects something different from us. He calls us to be honest with ourselves and others and to keep our promises, even when they are difficult or unpleasant.
Faith is not only believing in God but also trusting Him enough to do our part. This means we must be willing to strive to fulfill our promises, despite the obstacles and difficulties that may arise along the way.
