Interpretation of the Bible / Malachi 3:10
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”
Tithing, or giving 10% of one's income to the church or to the poor, has been a common practice among believers since biblical times. First of all, this verse reminds us of the importance of obedience and trust in God. By tithing, we demonstrate our faith in Him and His ability to provide for our needs.
In addition, we help finance the church's burdens, such as helping the poor and maintaining its facilities, and in this way, we fulfill our Christian responsibility to help our brothers and sisters.
