Interpretation of the Bible / 2 Timothy 2:15
The first step in this verse is, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved.” What does this mean? First of all, it is important to remember that God does not want people to remain merely superficial, but rather expects each of His followers to make the greatest effort to be able to reach Him as prepared as possible.
This idea of presenting yourself approved before God can be understood in different ways depending on how the text is interpreted. However, we can say that the goal is for each of us, as individuals and as part of the Christian community, to be able to show the best version of ourselves by performing daily tasks aimed at doing things in the best possible way.
The second step of this verse teaches us the importance of acting without shame. That is, when we present ourselves approved before God, we should do so with confidence and firmness because we are doing the right thing. It is important that when we act, we have nothing to be ashamed of and that our actions are in line with our Christian values and principles.
The last step of this verse tells us the importance of using the word of truth correctly. What does this mean? In general terms, it means that we must have a genuine knowledge of God's Word and not sacrifice its meaning or content to adapt it to our interests or needs.
We must carefully analyze and study the Bible's teachings in order to correctly understand what God wants from us.
