SVG In Christ

Interpretation of the Bible / Galatians 5:25

Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Galatians is one of the most important letters of the Apostle Paul and deals with topics such as justification by faith and the freedom we have in Christ. In this verse in Galatians 5:25, Paul calls us to live by the Spirit and to walk by the Spirit.

Living by the Spirit

The first thing we must understand is how we can live by the Spirit. In Galatians, Paul talks about the struggle between the flesh and the Spirit. The flesh refers to our sinful desires, while the Spirit refers to the Holy Spirit who dwells within us as Christians.

To live by the Spirit, we must allow the Holy Spirit to direct our lives. We must be willing to reject the temptations and sinful desires that arise in our daily lives and instead seek the will of God and follow the leading of the Spirit.

Walking by the Spirit

In addition to living by the Spirit, Paul also calls us to walk by the Spirit. That is, our actions must be guided by the Holy Spirit. This means that our decisions must be in line with God's will and purpose for our lives.

When we walk in the Spirit, our lives are transformed by divine power, and we are able to resist the temptations of the world and the flesh. Walking in the Spirit, we can experience peace, joy, and the fullness of life in Christ.
